Preident Al-Bashir Expresses Appreciation over Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Towards Sudan
Khartoum, July 28 (SUNA) - The President of the Republic Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir has expressed appreciations for the stances of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Abdullah Bin Abdal-Aziz, government and the people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia towards Sudan He praised the continuing support for consolidation of Sudan economic and service development President Al-Bashir commended, while receiving credentials of the new Saudi Ambassador to Sudan, Faisal Bin Hamid Bin Ma ala at the Republican Palace Tuesday, and in the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ali Ahmed Karti, the role played by Saudi Arabia in support of development and services in the country The new Saudi ambassador, for his part, affirmed his keenness to boost the bilateral relations further for the joint benefits of the two fraternal peoples

Juba, July 28 (SUNA) - The Second Information Forum, organized by the Federal Ministry of Communications and Information and the Ministry of Communications and Postal Services of Southern Sudan government, started here Tuesday under patronage of the First Vice President of the Republic, President of Government of South Sudan (GoSS), Lt. Gen. Salva Kiir Mayardit at the National Information Centre Under slogan of " Solution of the Digital Transformation s Challenges" A number of ministers from of the Government of National Unity and south Sudan Government and representatives of the communications and information companies are taking part in the Forum. Federal Minister of Communications and Information Dr. Yahia Abdullah, who addressed the forum, affirmed that his ministry would work for the support of communications and informatics, calling on the communication companies to move towards south Sudan to cover all areas, pointing out that the forum at exceptional time when the country is preparing for the referendum The Minister for Human Resources Development, Kamal Abdal-Latif asserted Sudan unity through holding of the gathering in Juba, the capital of south Sudan, emphasizing the government s keenness on the unity of the country Meanwhile, the Minister of Communications and Postal Services at the Government of Southern Sudan, Madut Pieyar pinpointed that his ministry encourages communications companies and investors to work in the south with the aim of providing communication to the areas lacking such services until now He added that the communication will not be affected by the outcome of the referendum, whether unity or separation Director of the National Information Centre Eng. Mubark Mohamed Ali said convening the forum in Juba affirmed that unity would be the favoured choice, expressing hope that the forum would come out with constructive recommendations that would help in the improvement of the communication and information technology s sector

Meridi, July 28 (SUNA) - Addressing a mass rally in Meridi town, West Equatoria State Tuesday, the Vice President of the Republic Ali Osman Mohamed Taha announced, at the sidelines of the Dam inauguration, that the government reiterates its continuing commitment to the implementation of all programmes to the peace, considering the dam as the outset of Meridi rehabilitation Taha added that the federal government and the government of Southern Sudan would share with the citizens of southern Sudan the concern on the rest of the projects in all services, praising the role of the Dam Implementation Unit in materializing promises made by the President of the Republic Al-Bashir in this respect He said that the promises made by Al-Bashir during his elections campaign in Meridid would be carried out, namely the commitment to peace, security provision and implementation of agricultural development in the area, pointing out that the problems facing citizens including security, will be attentively handled by the federal government and the government of south Sudan He underlined that they would not allow foreign elements to disturb the security, namely the Ugandan Lord Resistance Army (LRA) The Vice President pledged to complete all the projects in the area, making special reference to Meridi Teachers Trainiung Institute

Khartoum, July 28(SUNA) - Vice President of South Sudan Government, Dr. Riek Macher has affirmed their keenness on the development of postal services and communications in the south Sudan that could at the reach of citizens in the south, saying southern Sudan government encourages invesment in this domain Addressing the Second Forum on Informatics, Dr. Macher said the Government of South Sudan places emphasis on informatics to help in socio-economic development and use information technology for promoting health and education and other services He added his government prioritizes on expansion in the telecommunications to cover the remote areas to help with capacty building through establishment of institute for telecommunications and information technology in Juba with offshoots in the other states He called for formation of committee to look into the policies and controls of communications

Khartoum, July 28 (SUNA)- Two German nationals who were abducted by an anonymous armed group on July 16th have now been released and were received by South Darfur Governor in Neyala airport In statement to SUNA, South Darfur governor, Abdel-Hameed Musa Kasha said the German abductees were safely released and are in good health Kasha has commended the security bodies that managed to secure the release of the two german national without bowing to any pre-conditions The governor said organizations operating in Darfur are prone to abduction because they do not abide by instructions issued by the authorities concerned in the region Kasha has asked foreign organizations to stick to directives issued by and oordinate their movements with local authorities
