• Khartoum, July 28 (SUNA) - Chairman of the Voluntary Commission for supporting the Option of Unity, Dr. Sulafaddin Salih, stressed the importance of activating the role of the civil society organizations with regard to Unity of Sudan
He further highlighted the pivotal role to be played by the State of Kordufan in unifying the ranks of the people of Sudan as one of the States bordering the North and South Sudan
This came when he addressed Monday a the regular press forum of Sudan News Agency (SUNA) which shed light on the upcoming referendum as well as the merits of unity
Dr. Salih said involving the political parties in the unity prgrammes would decreases threats of cessation of Southern Sudan
In this regard, Dr. Salih referred to the examples of some tribal intermingling among the people of Sudan by saying that the origin of the Sudanese tribe of Majarab (Hungarians) in the Northern State is from Hungary , explaining that it has become part of the social fabric in Sudan
Dr. Salih also called on all the sons of Sudan to work to make the option of Unity attractive and preferable in order maintain the stability of Sudan
