• Khartoum, July 28(SUNA) - Vice President of South Sudan Government, Dr. Riek Macher has affirmed their keenness on the development of postal services and communications in the south Sudan that could at the reach of citizens in the south, saying southern Sudan government encourages invesment in this domain Addressing the Second Forum on Informatics, Dr. Macher said the Government of South Sudan places emphasis on informatics to help in socio-economic development and use information technology for promoting health and education and other services He added his government prioritizes on expansion in the telecommunications to cover the remote areas to help with capacty building through establishment of institute for telecommunications and information technology in Juba with offshoots in the other states He called for formation of committee to look into the policies and controls of communications
