• Juba, July 28 (SUNA) - The Second Information Forum, organized by the Federal Ministry of Communications and Information and the Ministry of Communications and Postal Services of Southern Sudan government, started here Tuesday under patronage of the First Vice President of the Republic, President of Government of South Sudan (GoSS), Lt. Gen. Salva Kiir Mayardit at the National Information Centre Under slogan of " Solution of the Digital Transformation s Challenges" A number of ministers from of the Government of National Unity and south Sudan Government and representatives of the communications and information companies are taking part in the Forum. Federal Minister of Communications and Information Dr. Yahia Abdullah, who addressed the forum, affirmed that his ministry would work for the support of communications and informatics, calling on the communication companies to move towards south Sudan to cover all areas, pointing out that the forum at exceptional time when the country is preparing for the referendum The Minister for Human Resources Development, Kamal Abdal-Latif asserted Sudan unity through holding of the gathering in Juba, the capital of south Sudan, emphasizing the government s keenness on the unity of the country Meanwhile, the Minister of Communications and Postal Services at the Government of Southern Sudan, Madut Pieyar pinpointed that his ministry encourages communications companies and investors to work in the south with the aim of providing communication to the areas lacking such services until now He added that the communication will not be affected by the outcome of the referendum, whether unity or separation Director of the National Information Centre Eng. Mubark Mohamed Ali said convening the forum in Juba affirmed that unity would be the favoured choice, expressing hope that the forum would come out with constructive recommendations that would help in the improvement of the communication and information technology s sector
