Bashir pledges completion of development projects , affirms keenness to realize peace through national dialogue

 

 

 

Nyala, Mar.22(SUNA)-The National Congress' presidential candidate, Omer Bashir on Sunday launched his electoral campaign for the presidency of the Republic in Nyala, capital of South Darfur State.


Addressing a mass rally, Bashir promised completion of development and service projects, announcing his determination to achieve peace via national and society-based dialogues.

He said war and fighting in Darfur have halted development projects which the Government started to implement, calling on people in South Darfur State to unite and to renounce war and differences.

Bashir renewed call for rebel elements to listen to the voice of wisdom and resort to dialogue to solve the issues of the Country, affirming that the doors are open for everyone who wants to join peace process and pledging , at the same time, eradication of rebellion and unruly groups.

Bashir expressed appreciation to Government of State of Qatar for its efforts on Darfur.

Chairman of the National Congress in South Darfur State, Maj. Gen. Adam Mahmoud Gara-Nabi underlined support of people of the State to Bashir nomination so as to achieve peace, provide service and complete the implementation of development projects which have been achieved at his hand in addition to his adoption of national dialogue.
