Ghandour Affirms Government Keenness to Achieve Inclusive and Lasting Peace Agreement with North Sector

vKhartoum,  (SUNA) - The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prof. Ibrahim Ghandour, has affirmed the government serious desire to achieve an inclusive and

lasting peace with the People's Movement (North Sector) through the signing of agreement on cessation of hostilities, security arrangements and delivering humanitarian aid to the citizens who are affected by the dispute in the two areas (the Blue Nile and South Kordofan).
This came when he received in his office Sunday the representative of the German centre which is sponsoring the informal talks between the government, the opposition and the armed movements.
In a statement to SUNA, the spokesman of the Foreign Ministry, Ambassador Ali Al-Saddiq, said that the meeting reviewed outcome of the recent meeting between the government and the People's Movement (North Sector) in Berlin and the obstacles that faced the meeting.
