Assistant of the president receives Ambassador Layman of the US Institute of Peace

Khartoum,  (SUNA) - The Assistant of the President of the Republic, Ibrahim Mahmoud, on Sunday received at the republication palace a delegation from the American US Institute of Pace, led Ambassador Princeton Lyman, Senior Advisor to the


Ambassador layman said the president's assistant has briefed him on the peace negotiations between the government of the Sudan and the rebel movements and the SPLM-North.

He said the assistant has reaffirmed to him the government resolve to go ahead with the national dialogue as this would be the only means for achieving pace, stability and security in the Sudan.

It is to be noted that the USIP is a non-partisan non-government organization that works to promote peace and security around the world.
