First Vice - President: National Dialogue is Biggest Project in Sudan since 60 Years

Khartoum,  (SUNA) - The First Vice - President of the Republic, Lt. Gen. Bakri Hassan Salih, pointed out that the initiative of the President of the Republic on the national dialogue is

considered the biggest project launched in the country since 60 years.
Addressing the Conference for Assessment of Performance in the Year 2015, which was held at the General Headquarters of the People's Defence Forces in Khartoum, the First Vice - President said that the national dialogue was aimed for discussing all the major national issues in the spirit of the people of Sudan for realizing security and stability.
He said that the national and societal dialogue which is about to be completed does will not exclude any one.
He said that the state and legal reform project, the national dialogue, the electoral program of the President of the Republic and declared and undeclared negotiations in Addis Ababa are complementary programs that will be implemented in the coming stage.
Lt. Gen. Salih affirmed that peace is a strategic goal of the state, calling on the gun-holders to join the peace process.
He appreciated the role of the armed movements that participated in the national dialogue.
He called on the People's Defence Forces to be ready to contribute to the development process in the coming stage.
