Assistant UN Secretary-General for Safety and Security Appreciates Government Efforts for Realizing Peace in Darfur

 Al-Fasher, (SUNA)- The Assistant Secretary-General for the United Nations Department of Safety and Security (DSS), Peter Depertan, has appreciated the positive steps and efforts adopted recently by the government for realizing security and

stability in Darfur.
This came when the UN official was received Tuesday by the acting Wali (governor) and Minister of Agriculture in North Darfur State, Adam Mohamed Al-Nahla, at the headquarters of the state's government.
The acting Wali has briefed the UN official on the security and humanitarian situation in the state, indicating that crime rate in Darfur has dropped by 80% in the state at the past period, stating that the Court for Crimes in Darfur is carting out its role in expanding the rule of law in
