Halima: Arab League Arranges to Hold Arab Donors Conference for Rehabilitation in Sudan in mid current Year

Khartoum,  (SUNA)- The Arab League has announce its endeavour to hold a conference of Arab donors in mid current year for support to the rehabilitation and development programs at the dispute-hit areas in Sudan.
At a meeting of the higher committee for attracting support to

demobilization program with the Arab ambassadors Monday evening at Salam Rotana Hotel, the Arab League's envoy to Sudan, Salah Halima, said that a joint delegation of the Arab League and Sudan will tour a number of Arab countries to attract support for disarmament and demobilization programs in Sudan.
He said that the Arab League has established a unit at the National Security Centre to be assigned with the disarmament, demobilization and reintegration and to benefit from the experiment of Sudan in this regard.
Meanwhile, chairman of the higher committee and Minister of International Cooperation, Kamal Hassan Ali, has warned of the risk in stay of arms at the hands of former combatants.
He affirmed formation of a joint technical committee of Sudan and the non-governmental organizations for cooperation and keeping harmony between the national plans and those of the partners.
He said that the state is keen to cooperate with all the partners.
