Tripartite Summit between Leaders of Sudan, Egypt and Ethiopia Affirms Importance of Joint Cooperation

Investment in Africa and affirmed the importance of establishing distinguished relations between the three countries and coordinating efforts to confront the common challenges.

In a press statement to SUNA after the summit, the Foreign Minister, Prof. Ibrahim Ghandour, said that the summit was continuation to the recent summit between the three leaders in last August in Sharm Al-Sheikh when they agreed on establishment of a high-level tripartite mechanism, under their leadership, to sponsor the cooperation between Sudan, Egypt and Ethiopia in all fields.

He said that the summit of today has put the dots on the I's as the three leaders agreed in details on formation of three committees and assigned a ministerial committee to formulate a final communiqué which is expected to be issued tomorrow (Sunday).

He said that ministers of the Sudan, Egypt and Ethiopia are due to meet shortly to determine the general bases for the cooperation between the three countries.

Prof. Ghandour explained that the three leaders agreed on formation of political, economic and cultural and social committees toward strengthening the cooperation between the three states.
