President Al-Bashir Returns Home after Participation at Forum on Trade and Investment in Africa in Sharm Al-Sheikh

Khartoum,  (SUNA)- President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, Sunday returned home after taking part at the Forum on Trade and Investment in Africa 2016 which was held in Sharm Al-Sheikh.
He was received upon return at Khartoum Airport by the First Vice - President and

a number of ministers and senior officials.
In a press statement at Khartoum Airport, the Foreign Minister, Prof. Ibrahim Ghandour has described the visit as successful, indicating that Sudan delegation has held a series of meetings and consultations on the sidelines of the forum.
He referred to the tripartite summit between President Al-Bashir, the Egyptian President, Abdul-Fattah Al-Sisi, and the Ethiopian Prime Minister, Haile-Mariam Desalen, explaining that the summit was held in the context of the continuous contacts between the three leaders on African issues and means of strengthening the economic cooperation between the three countries.

Prof. Ghandour said that the tripartite summit has reviewed the proposal of President Al-Bashir on formation of a joint mechanism of cooperation between the three countries toward enhancing the political, economic and security relations between the three countries.
He said that the Forum on Trade and Investment in Africa has discussed the investment opportunities in Africa, the programs for youth and women development as well as the development of the local raw materials in Africa.
Prof. Ghandour said that President Al-Bashir reviewed at the forum the experiences of Sudan in the micro-finance, opening borders with neighbouring countries and the stability and economic development fields.
