President Al-Bashir Directs Governors of Darfur to Help Displaced Citizens in Darfur to Return to Home Villages

Khartoum,  (SUNA) - President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, has directed the Walis (governors) and officials of Darfur states to provide security and

the requirements for the voluntary return of the displaced citizens to their home village following the recent military operations in Jebel Marra, calling on the citizens there to return to their home areas following eradication of rebellion and restoration of security at the area.
Addressing a ceremony held Tuesday at the Ministry of Defence to mark the take-over of the new Chiefs of Staff, President Al-Bashir has lauded the victories scored by the Armed Forces in Jebel Marra.
He affirmed keenness of the Presidency to help the Armed Forces carrying out its duties properly and to provide all its requirements.
He praised the role of the Armed Forces and other regular forces in Darfur, the Blue Nile and South Kordofan states in defending the homeland.
He said that the victories in Jebel Marra will contribute to the eradication of rebellion in Darfur.
President Al-Bashir pointed out that the effective participation and good performance of the Sudanese forces within the Operation Decisive Storm is receiving appreciation.
President Al-Bashir said that Sudan obtains advanced military factories that helped realizing several accomplishments through the operations being fought by the Armed Forces.
Meanwhile, the President of the Republic awarded the Nelein Order (First Class) to the former Chief of Staff, Lt. Gen. Mustafa Osman Al-Obeid, the former Deputy Chief of Staff, Lt. Gen. Ismail Beraima, the General Inspector, Lt. Gen. Ahmed Abdalla Al-Naw, and the General Director for Financial Affairs, Lt. Gen. Mohamed Osman Al-Rikabi.
