Sudan-UK Political Consultation Committee meets in Khartoum Sunday

Khartoum, 1(SUNA)-The Joint Sudan-UK political consultation committee will meet in Khartoum Sunday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Saturday.

Ambassador Ali Al Sadiq, Official Spokesman for the Ministry, told SUNA that the Sudanese side to the meeting will be headed by Director General of the

Bilateral Relations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Dafalla al Hajj Ali, while the British side will be headed by the Head of the African affairs of the UK Foreign Office.

Ambassador Sadiq said the committee will review means for promoting and developing bilateral relations in the various domains, following a number of initiatives and exchange of visits by officials from the two countries and the desire expressed by the UK ambassador to the Sudan to work for developing relations in the coming days and to clear the atmosphere in preparation for a joint action to the end.

The ambassador said the committee will review regional issues and the some international questions particularly the refugees, illegal migration, human trafficking, war against terror as well as questions related to restoration of peace and security, globally
