Government Signs Road-Map Document of African Mediation on Two Areas

Addis Ababa, (SUNA)- The government signed Monday in Addis Ababa the road-map document of the African Union High-Level Implementation Panel (mediation) on the negotiation with the armed movements of the two areas and

Darfur and the opposition political forces which are represented by the leader of the National Umma Party, Saddiq Al-Mahdi.
The Assistant of the President of the Republic and head of the government delegation, Engineer Ibrahim Mahmoud Hamid, has expressed his hope that the other parties will sign the road-map which includes the views of all parties.
He said that it is important that the road-map shall lead to a lasting peace, put an end to the war and citizens 'suffering and the participation in the national dialogue.
Hamid said (we hope that our brothers in the movement and the Imam will sign the road-map document), adding that the mediation mechanism indicated that they would sign later.
He pointed out that the road-map document, which was signed by the government, has addressed the major issues in Sudan, which are represented in the stoppage of war and sitting together to discuss the future of Sudan through the national dialogue.
